Friday Night Dinner Ride to El Fenix, McKinney

Please make plans to join your PCH friends and family for our Friday Night Dinner Ride to El Fenix, McKinney.  Why the one in McKinney you ask - because I like this one!  FYI - we need help with scheduling restaurants so if you want to help out, let anyone in Activies know.

El Fenix® Mexican Restaurants are as much a part of the McKinney tradition as the State Fair of Texas. Both have roots dating back to the 19th century.  I am not sure when Big Tex came on the scene but TexMex arrived in Dallas in 1916.  Miguel (Mike) Martinez left Mexico and settled in Dallas, Texas where he learned the art of food preparation working in the kitchen of the posh Oriental Hotel in downtown Dallas.  In 1916 he married Faustina Porres, also from Mexico and shortly thereafter, they opened Martinez Café and in a very short time began combining traditional mexican with american dishes and TexMex was born.  FYI - while at the restaurant, take a look around at the photos on the wall, those are family photos and some have Miguel and Faustina when they were young, and most of the wait staff around them were their children and neices and nephews - it really is that kind of family restaurant.

So come out and join us by getting to Black Gold Harley Davidson before 6:30 to reserve your place in line - we will have a short safety brief and KSU around 6:45 for a ride to the restaurant.  If you must arrive by cage, please make plans to arrive after 7:30, the restaurant may not be able to seat you any sooner - and don't eat all the chips and salsa before I arrive . . . better yet, save me a seat and ask for four or five  extra bowls of salsa, and don't forget to get one for yourself while you are at it.
