I had four members in as many weeks ask me if we could go to Rodeo Goat, so I did. I can get there easy, it is close to the office and the burgers are too good to keep a secret, so of course, Panther Creek HOG must chow down on Rodeo Goat . . . that was funnier in my head. I recommend everyone vote for the Rahr & Sons Bad Hombre or I will make up more not so funny stuff to post. Exactly how does one get the name “Rodeo Goat”? It starts with a boy from Belton, Texas named Bowie whose nickname is “Flapjack” and he goes to the Ft. Worth stock show and rodeo with his paw every year and at the tender age of 8 he started competing in “goat roping” and . . . heck, it ends with one darn good burger and they want us to come visit. Based on member suggestions, that is a good thing. FYI - I asked so you don’t have to: “goat roping” is where they “let a mess of goats loose in the ring and then cow-kids (too young to ride types) run around like alley cats trying to lasso one” but seems Flapjack was having trouble catching one, until he fed it a couple beers then lassoed that sucker 7 out of 14 times which only proves drunk goats don’t run too fast.

Please arrive at the shop by 6:30pm for a short safety talk; KSU at 7:00pm. If arriving by cage, please do not arrive at the restaurant any earlier than
7:45.
